Steps We Are Taking To Protect You

To our valued patients,

The Doctors and staff of Bryn Mawr Dental Associates hope you and your family are all in good health and have been following the state mandated policies. As of last week ( May 8, 2020), the Pennsylvania Department of Health has issued new guidance that allows dentists to perform "non-urgent and non-emergent dental procedures" under very specific regulations and guidelines. While this new ruling permits us to resume treatment, the additional changes we are making to ensure your safety will not permit us to return to "business as usual" in the immediate future.

Our office continues to follow all the infection control recommendations that are made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration ( OSHA). We are continually monitoring these agencies to guarantee we are up-to-date on the most current rules and regulations.

In order to protect you as well as our staff, you will certainly notice some changes in the way you enter our facility and are treated.

Some examples will include:

  • Communicating with you before your appointment and asking some pertinent screening questions.
  • Asking you to wait in your car until you are notified it is time to enter our office to minimize interacting with other patients
  • Taking your temperature as you enter the office with an infrared (non-contact) thermometer
  • Requiring every patient to wear a mask into our office and replace it immediately after the completion of your visit.
  • Removing all books and magazines from our waiting room since they cannot be adequately disinfected
  • Supplying you with hand sanitizer throughout the office
  • Rearranging already scheduled appointments to allow us ample time to disinfect our treatment rooms

We have missed seeing all of you and are looking forward to once again taking care of your dental needs. Please feel free to call our office if you have any questions or concerns regarding any appointments. We understand that many of you wish to get your dental work done as quickly as possible and we will make every effort to accomplish this, but there will undoubtedly be some delays as we work hard to clear up the backlog of patients over the past two months. Most importantly, we will take every step possible to ensure your safety and ask that you be patient as we adapt to this new normal.

Sincerely,
The Doctors and Staff of Bryn Mawr Dental Associates
